Draftday Girls 2027 Spring Program
Welcome to the DraftDay Girls Spring Hockey Registration Platform!
We are excited to introduce our 2027 DraftDay Girls Regional Spring Hockey Program, offering high-level female athletes the opportunity to develop their skills, compete against top talent, and build lasting friendships through an exceptional spring hockey experience.
As part of our ongoing commitment to player development, competition, and team culture, we are proud to introduce our two regional spring teams:
DraftDay Gold – Girls AAA/AA
DraftDay Force – Girls AA/A
Both teams are part of our Regional Spring Hockey Development Stream, designed to bring together talented athletes from across Ontario to compete in high-level tournaments while providing meaningful opportunities for individual and team development.
Our focus extends beyond tournament competition. We are committed to creating a positive, professionally coached environment where athletes can challenge themselves, build confidence, develop their hockey IQ, and form friendships that last well beyond the spring season.
2027 Spring Tournament Schedule
Each DraftDay Gold and DraftDay Force team will participate in the following three tournaments:

DraftDay Spring Development Weekend
April 17–18, 2027
Location: Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre, Brantford, Ontario
Time: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
As part of our commitment to player development, every DraftDay Gold and DraftDay Force spring team registration includes participation in our Spring Development Weekend.
This two-day development experience provides athletes with access to specialized on-ice training sessions designed to enhance individual skills, skating mechanics, hockey IQ, and overall performance.
Development sessions will include:
-
PEP Training: Power Edge Pro (PEP) is a high-intensity, game-situation training program designed to develop puck control, skating agility, quick hands, and decision-making under pressure. Through innovative drills that combine tight turns, rapid puck movement, and multidirectional skating, athletes develop the ability to execute skills at game speed while maintaining control and awareness.
-
Hockey Skills Development: Technical skill development, puck handling, shooting, passing, and individual creativity.
-
Power Skating: Skating mechanics, stride efficiency, acceleration, agility, and edge control.
Each registered athlete will have the opportunity to select two development sessions based on their individual interests and development goals.
Athletes will be grouped by birth year to ensure age-appropriate instruction and a positive, competitive training environment.
Session selection and scheduling details will be provided to registered families in advance of the development weekend.
