This prestigious tournament is unique in its approach, as we dont believe in restricting or controlling who can play on which team. Players have the freedom to join any team they wish, and teams can build their best rosters without any territory restirctions at a respectable price point. This format creates an open and competitive enviorment that truly highlights the talent and skill of the hockey community.

We have invited the most respected Elite programs from across North America and Europe, ensuring a level of competition that is second to none. This is your opportunity to compete with and against the very best, making this event a can't miss experience for elite players and teams.

MINI CROWN: 2015-2018 ELITE & AAA

VENUE/ARENA

THE CROWN ROYALTY, THE CROWN and THE MINI-CROWN will be held at Westwood Arena and The Sports Village.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

• Games could start as early as 4pm on Thursday, July 24th, 2025 for all teams.
• Championship games will be held between 2:00pm and 6:00pm on Sunday, July 27th, 2025 for all age groups.
• Games will be played at two venues for the entire tournament - Westwood Arena and The Sports Village.
• All teams are guaranteed 4-5 games depending on age group.
• MVP awards will be decided by the opposing teams and will be distrubted after each game.
• Champions will recieve a crown trophy for their victory. Finalists will recieve a Crown Medal.
• Rules document for additional information regarding the format and rules will be shared 2 months before the tournament. The main differance versus other tournaments will be 'no restrictions' regarding rosters regarding geography and 'playing up' an age category.
• All preliminary team rosters must be submitted by June 25th, 2025

PAYMENT

• All teams MUST send a $1000 deposit by December 15th, 2024
• The remaining balance per team will be due on April 1, 2025.

Hotels

All PLAY Hockey events have a Stay to Play Requirement if you are outside of 96 km/60miles from the event.

Please note that all travelling teams and parents are required to book their accommodations through our designated partner hotels on Event Connect to ensure a smooth tournament experience. This is a Stay to Play event, and any team or parent who does not comply, will incur a penalty. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in supporting our tournament's logistics. You will recieve the hotel options/booking link shortly after registration. If you do not recieve this, please email hotels@playhockey.com.
